New Laptop

Unfortunately ran into a number of different issues with my recent MacBook purchase and decided I’d just go back to using a laptop for my day-to-day needs. I had an ideal criteria in mind and wanted to spend around the £600 mark.

What I wanted was something with a Full (1080p) HD Screen, Ivy Bridge i5 CPU, 4GB DDR3 RAM and a dedicated video card. A quick look around the usual websites didn’t bring much to the table, the main issue being the screen – which I consider important with my web design tasks.
Some brands I’ll never use due to experience of failure rates and repair (Compaq, Acer, Etc) but something I favour is Dell – because I’ve yet to have a Dell laptop fail on me or let me down (Truth!). Given that I worked with Dell for about four years also, I’ve tried and tested a lot of their range.
So I looked at Dell and found the ideal laptop in the outlet store, ordered straight away – it’s above the spec I wanted and about £200 under budget – result!
